What do you do for someone who is 164 years old? Well, in the case of Buffalo Bill, you hold a birthday bash. Once again, Golden's Buffalo Bill Days Inc. will host the 30th annual Buffalo Bill Birthday Bash at the historic Buffalo Rose Events Center in downtown Golden at 1119 Washington Ave. The event takes place on Saturday February 26, 2011 from 11AM until 6PM and features contests for re-enactors for both their costumes and presentations. Categories include Buffalo Bill, Old West Male, Old West Female and Military Male and prizes will be awarded to the best three contestants in each category as determined by independent judges. There will also be prizes for the best overall costume, both male and female.

Good listening music will be provided by Rattlesnake Jake; food and beverages will be available for purchase and of course, all those who dress for the event can participate in the panorama photo shoot. Lets not forget that like all birthdays, there will be a cake. Entry fees for re-enactors are $25, costume entrants fees are $15 and those who just want to be there for the fun and watching will be charged a $5 general admission fee.
